White Heron Sangha is a peer-led Buddhist community. The Sangha welcomes practice from all traditions of Buddhism. Located in the San Luis Obispo County, White Heron Sangha serves the California Central Coast and beyond. The Sangha hosts programs, mediation and practice groups, dharma study and retreats. Some events are held both on Zoom and in-person at the Sangha's mediation center in Avila Beach and some are held in-person only. Buddhist teachers from diverse traditions visit from outside the community and community members also offer their own perspectives. Our engaged Buddhism group takes the practice out into the world working on projects that ease suffering and benefit our world.
